Discovery Park is the baseball-themed title for our children’s ministries at Red Rocks. We have special programs for children during each meeting time of our church. These programs are tied together through monthly character traits and Bible memorization. Our Elementary Department is specifically designed for children in K5 through 5th grade.
1. The Clubhouse (Sundays, 10 AM):
- Sunday morning Worship and Evangelism
- All children gather together for a congregational time of praise, Bible reading, Bible memory, object lesson, children’s choir, and offering.
- Then, children are split into two, age-graded groups for Bible lesson and activity times.
- The children regather at the end for more songs and dismissal.
2. The Dugout (Sundays, 6 PM):
- Sunday evening Equipping
- Begins with a prolonged time of singing, Bible games, and Bible memory
- Then children are split into four, age-graded small groups where they are taught a Bible lesson based on our 3-year scope and sequence. This is where they learn the story of the Bible.
- Children then return for a time of focus on missions and missionaries called the “Hall of Fame.”
3. The Diamond (Wednesdays, 7 PM):
- Wednesday night Discipleship
- Children have the opportunity to learn 120 basic Bible doctrines in a fun, club-based format through the Kids4Truth program.
- The program begins in the Upper Room with singing and a Bible lesson.
- The children then break into small groups for Bible memory and catechism review.
- The evening concludes with a time of awards.
Discovery Park is staffed with some of the greatest children’s workers around and geared to meet the needs of each age group.
