The goal of the Nursery Ministry at Red Rocks Baptist Church is to partner with parents in the spiritual development and well-being of the family. Nursery is provided for all services and most special meetings of Red Rocks Baptist Church.

Staffing Policy

All of our staff are volunteer workers who have undergone a national background screening process. Although we do use young people as helpers in our nursery, there is always a responsible adult present. WE REQUEST that all parents of children attending the nursery volunteer once a month. For security reasons, only screened individuals who are scheduled to work in the nursery are permitted in the nursery with the children. Please remember a parent must be attending an on-site function in order to have his/her child in our nursery programs.

Paging System

If we need to contact parents of children in the nursery, we use the vibrating paging system. When checking your child in, you receive a pager. That pager number is entered on the security label with your child's name and instructions. If you are needed during a service, you will receive a vibrating page. Please come to the nursery immediately. When you return the pager, you receive your child. Only the person with your pager will receive your child.

When to Stay at Home With Your Child

A healthy, happy environment is very important for the children. We sanitize our toys and play items to ensure that we do not unknowingly spread infectious viruses or bacteria. We ask that you also help us by not bringing a child to the nursery if they show any of the following symptoms:

• Runny (green or yellow) nose
• Fever (within the last 24 hours)
• Open sores
• Irritated eyes
• Diarrhea (within the last 24 hours)
• Rash
• Any other childhood disease
